How to use this page

  • Athletes Accepted details all athletes and teams which are legal and have been entered into the competition
  • (of which Illegal Athletes in Legal Teams) lists any athletes which, whilst members of a team which is legal, cannot themselves appear on the Acceptance or Start List because their own data was incomplete. There will be a blank line in place of that skier in the Acceptance and Start Lists. Please revisit your entry form and edit the data for any athlete in this list before closing date for entries.
  • Illegal and Draft Teams shows athletes which are part of a team which does not comply with the entry requirements or where you still have the Detail Later flag selected on the entry form. These athletes and teams will not appear on the Acceptance or Start List. Please revisit your entry form and edit the data for any athlete or team in this list before closing date for entries.
  • Kit Request List shows requests for kit hire as they will be passed to the slope. Kit requests are only forwarded for athletes in the Acceptance List. If not correct please revisit your entry form and edit the data for any athlete in this list before closing date for entries.


    • ONLY ATHLETES APPEARING ON THE Accepted Athletes WILL BE INCLUDED ON THE START LIST. ONLY KIT DETAILED IN THE Kit Request List WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE RACE.

    Membership Process

    The ESSKIA membership process comprises four steps. The requirements for each step are presented on the right side of this screen. As you complete each step press "submit" and the next step will become visible.

    2. Confirmation of Adherence to ESSKIA Rules


    I agree to abide by the rules of the competition and accept that any decision of the Race Jury is final.

    All ESSKIA member schools must have a Child Safeguarding Policy. Each school group attending the races must nominate a Manager, ideally a member of the school staff. If teams are in the sole charge of a nominated Parent Manager, I hereby confirm on behalf of the Head that the school has complied with its normal safeguarding and checking procedures.

    If all parents are attending then they will be responsible for the safeguarding of their own children. I understand that a Team Manager, who will be present at the race, must be nominated, and that different Race Officials MUST be nominated for each team taking part. The Team Manager may also act as a Race Official for one team.

    Pupils taking part in ESSKIA races do so at their own risk. ESSKIA, the race organisers, our officials and the venues at which we operate accept no liability for loss, damage or injury to any property or person taking part in or spectating at one of our events.

    I hereby confirm that those named as Additional Contacts above are authorised to engage with Esskia on behalf of this school, to renew membership, to enter teams into Esskia races, and to access the Esskia Race Management System.

    By providing personal data for the purpose of membership and race entry, you authorize us to collect, store, process, and distribute this information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data will be used solely for organizing and managing memberships and races, which will necessarily include (i) sharing that data with Snowsport England and their insurance providers, (ii) as is necessary for the preparation and distribution of acceptance lists, start lists, and results as well as running of races (iii) as is necessary for squad selection, organisation and management of our Training Days and Camps. Your data will not otherwise be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. All data will be securely stored and retained only for as long as necessary for these purposes. You have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of your data at any time.

    The school should nominate a Team Manager which will usually be a Teacher or Coach. In the absence of a Teacher or Coach, or if a parent is more experienced in respect of ski-racing, the Team Manager may be a Parent.     The race is run entirely by volunteers, participating schools must provide Officials to assist with the running of the race. These need not be experienced and instruction will be provided where necessary. Certain critical roles may only be undertaken by Snowsport England qualified and registered Officials.     Compulsory Fields: Kit fields are optional. All other fields MUST be filled.

    Photography: Note that Esskia operates a 'positive confirmation' policy in respect of Photography. If not selected it will be assumed that you do not consent to photography.

    Team Numbers: Teams in Category 1 must have a minimum of 2, maximum of 3 athletes.

    Teams in Category 2-5 must have a minimum of 3, maximum of 4 athletes.

    Team Composition: Mixed teams must comprise at most 2 members of the same sex.

    Completed athletes are highlighted in green. Unless highlighted in green the athlete will not be saved as part of the team.

    To enter a team but specify members later, select the "Details Later" checkbox beneath the team name. You can use this function when you enter before teams are known, when teams have been partly populated but are not yet to complete, and after teams are complete but still subject to change before final submission.

    Illegal teams and teams with the Details Later flag set will NOT be accepted into the race or appear on the start list. Use this function ONLY to help with drafting. If a team is illegal on race day it will be disqualified.
